“where there is no vision, the people will perish…” (Proverbs 29:18)

As people of God, we know that there is always a vision we must follow, and through it, we see God’s glory!

In this season of our leadership, the Lord is uniting us to come together as the body of Christ to edify and build on the foundation that has already been laid. It’s a great task with a heavy burden that God has given us to lead his people, but what a glorious truth it is to know that together we are building the kingdom of God.

An Anointed Generation

As Messengers of Peace, we are meant to carry that message and preach the gospel worldwide. Our vision and goal for the Arizona Messengers of Peace is for every young person to step into the anointing God is pouring out in this end time. There are giftings and talents over our Apostolic young people, and we must use them to “Build the Church.”

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me and has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed” – Luke 4:18

As Azmop, we are blessed to have hungry young people who desire to be used by God in the supernatural. “End-time Anointing” is the vision that God has given me this year, and with the help of the Lord, we pray to flow in that anointing throughout all our events.

An Anointed Team

Quite frankly, it is impossible to do any event alone. After getting our Bishop’s approval, we started creating a core team composed of young people we trust who are available, committed, and bring value to the vision.

This year, we have a total of ten activities taking place throughout our district, and there are so many intricate parts that happen behind the scenes.

Aside from our district board, we have different leads: Worship/Music Director, Head Administrative Leads, Media, Platform Coordinator, Security/Ushers, Greeters, Choir, and Registration Committee. We have learned that people will invest in the vision and that’s what we’re looking for; committed saints who will invest their time, effort, and talent.

These roles really lay the foundation, and then we can structure all moving parts from there. Our core team knows that we are not tied down to an event schedule, and we honor our bishop and pastors, who allow us to flow in the Holy Ghost each service. It is imperative to incorporate prayer and fasting in every step leading up to an event, from planning our team meetings to the execution. As leaders, we must pray, plan, and execute. God does the rest!

Anointed Events

Our District Youth camps are one of the year’s highlights, as over 500 Arizona messengers of peace attend. For God’s glory, our district is blessed enough to be the only district in our Apostolic Assembly to own its own campsite. That allows us the ability to provide multiple camps to our youth. More recently, we had a good problem; we no longer fit in our sanctuary.

Therefore, Azmop camps are divided into three camps: College & Career Camp, Freshman & Sophomore High School Camp, and Junior & Senior High School Camp. This allows us to cater specific sessions for each group, such as, “God in my finances, career, or relationships.”

I’ve heard some say that youth camps are all hype and no actual change occurs, but I would argue that it’s in a moment in God’s presence that he touches you, and that encounter will forever change and mark your life. So the attendance is worth it!

This year, three of our events are mission-based and cornered around evangelistic strategies: our L.S.I (Love. Serve. Impact.) annual outreach weekend, End-time Revival Tour, and United for Missions service.

At L.S.I, we have a Friday night service where, aside from hearing a word from God, we receive all Azmop donations and income for our outreach program that following Saturday morning. We connect with our city and local sponsors to allow the young people to provide our community with free clothing, haircuts, showers, insurance/car services, a prayer booth, and a kid’s zone. In one accord, we are able to Love, Serve, & Impact our community.

Our Endtime Revival Tour is designed to serve the smaller churches in our district that need assistance. Our goal is to help the pastor and local youth coordinate an evangelism outreach that morning, and we finish off with a revival service that afternoon. We strategically choose our staff to be young people who have not been able to serve in a district capacity to develop new ministries and active young people in our churches.

Lastly, at our United for Missions service, we will unite the mission-focused Flor Azul, Alcanzando America, and SEEDS projects. This is our way of building together – women, men, and youth working together for missions! The vision for this service is to collect all the funds raised throughout the year, with the final goal of sending aid to our Apostolic Assembly’s national and international missions.

Step into the Anointing

To every messenger of peace, I encourage you in the Lord, “Let no one despise your youth but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” – (1 Timothy 4:12)  Step into the anointing that God has given you, without hesitation. Indeed, the Lord will use you. He surely has anointed you to preach His word and heal the brokenhearted!

It’s not enough to do the bare minimum in the work of the Lord when the lost and dying souls demand boldness, excellence, and execution. We are anointed as Messengers of Peace for this end-time! Let our churches, events, and schedules be filled with the anointing of the Holy Ghost. May we desire to step into the revival that is taking place in the mighty name of Jesus! This is my prayer for the Arizona Messengers of Peace and every young person who wants to serve Him and make Him known.

Blessings,

Dwell & Develop

The Role of Vision in Ministry — The article begins with the Proverbs quote, emphasizing the importance of vision in preventing perishing. Reflect on the vision God has placed on your heart or within your community. How does this vision guide your decisions, actions, and priorities in ministry? What steps can you take to align more closely with this vision or to clarify it further if needed?

Empowerment and Anointing in Youth — The vision for the Arizona Messengers of Peace includes seeing every young person stepping into their anointing and using their giftings for God’s kingdom. Reflect on your own giftings and callings. How do you feel called to use your talents in your community or ministry? What might be holding you back, and how can you overcome these obstacles to fully embrace your anointing?

The Importance of Teamwork and Commitment — The article highlights the significance of building a committed core team for the execution of events and ministry work. Consider your current or past experiences in teams, whether in ministry or other areas of life. How does the commitment level of team members impact the team’s effectiveness? What qualities do you think are most important in team members, and how can you contribute these qualities to a team yourself?

Prayer and Fasting in Leadership — The leaders of AZMOP prioritize prayer and fasting in every step of planning and execution. Reflect on your own practices of prayer and fasting. How do these spiritual disciplines influence your decision-making, leadership, and reliance on God? Can you share a time when prayer and fasting made a discernible difference in your ministry or personal life?

Revival and Mission Focus — Several events and activities mentioned are mission-based, focusing on evangelism and community impact. Reflect on the concept of revival in your context. What does revival look like to you, and how can you contribute to a revival in your community or church? Additionally, consider the impact of mission-focused activities. How can you or your ministry engage more deeply with the needs of your community to reflect God’s love and bring about change?
